Nnamdi Osuagwu

CEO & Principal Consultant

Nnamdi Osuagwu is an Information Technology consultant specializing in the integration of Cybersecurity, Development & Operations and Change and Release Management. Nnamdi’s mission is to address security vulnerabilities before they make it into production by combining application and infrastructure security into the software development life cycle.

He utilizes the Agile and Lean methodologies to efficiently deliver project initiatives, optimize IT value stream and convert business needs into capabilities and services that provide real value for end users. His strategy consists of maximizing workflow through small batch sizes and constantly testing through continuous build, integration and deployment practices.

Nnamdi leverages a unique background of over 15 years of Release Management experience with Cybersecurity. He holds a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Fordham University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Temple University as well as the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL - Foundation, Transition & Operations). Past clients include JP Morgan Chase, UBS, TD Ameritrade and Barclays Wealth and Capital with project budgets ranging from $3-50M.

Nnamdi is also passionate about leveraging his technology background to further social causes. He is currently the Chief Information Officer of the The Fibroids Project, an online web community dedicated to providing women suffering from uterine fibroids with information and resources. Nnamdi is also a founding board member of the Grace N. Osuagwu Educational Foundation (GNOEF), which strives to remove economic barriers by providing students in need with grants that empower them to achieve their higher education goals.

Renee Brown Small

Cybersecurity/Tech Human Resources Expert

Renee Brown Small, founder of Cyber Human Capital LLC , brings a uniquely powerful background of 15 years of experience in both Human Resources and Cybersecurity to Strategic Generation clients. Her direct experience with both fields gives her valuable insight into the challenges that Cyber Security companies face in attracting and retaining top talent.

A consummate HR professional, Renee has worked across all disciplines in the field of Human Resources. She has made significant contributions at companies such as TEKsystems, AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co., Citi Markets and Banking and Freddie Mac. Renee’s business acumen and understanding of the increasing sensitivity surrounding confidential information naturally led her to work in the field of Cybersecurity with Freddie Mac.

In her role as Cybersecurity Program Manager, Renee was charged with strategic direction of internal security projects, management of cross-functional teams, task force creation, threat risk analysis and more.

She is a graduate of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University and holds a GIAC FISF and ITPM Certification.

Renee currently blends her knowledge of the complete Human Resources life cycle with a hands-on knowledge of the challenges facing the Cybersecurity industry today, to bring concrete solutions to Strategic Generation clients.

She and her family live in McLean, VA.

Onyema

Onyema Osuagwu, Ph.D.

Research Advisor

Dr. Onyema Osuagwu joins Strategic Generation as a Research Advisor, providing feedback on new technologies, research and development. He has nearly two decades of experience in the tech and research ecosystem as an engineer, scientist, investor and founder.

He is the former Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Thrust Lead for Advanced Health Technologies at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Lecturer with the Johns Hopkins University Graduate EP Program. He is also a former Associate Professor in Physics and Computer Science at The City University of New York.

Dr. Osuagwu has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an additional Neuroengineering concentration and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also has an M.A. and B.A. in Physics with a Mathematics concentration and a B.A. in Psychology/Neuroscience with concentrations in Computer Science and Physics.
